SYDNEY (23 February 2017) — Landor Sydney has helped leading New Zealand wine brand Brancott Estate create a bold new look that pays homage to the brand’s home coinciding with the release of its 2016 vintage.
The new identity depicts Brancott Vineyard, the site of the first sauvignon blanc plantings in Marlborough and home of Brancott Estate wines. The identity has been incorporated across the entire Brancott Estate range, uniting the portfolio under a brand designed to create an emotional connection with consumers and build Brancott Estate as an iconic New Zealand brand globally.
Dominic Walsh, managing director of Landor Australia, commented, “The red shed icon has been part of the Brancott Vineyard since its very beginning and has established a unique visual presence in the landscape. We used this to form part of the new identity and establish a sense of place in the minds of consumers that differentiates the product on-shelf.”
Stefano Furini, marketing director of New Zealand wine brands, continued, “Brancott Estate has built a reputation as a forward-thinking brand that looks to the future. To continue to do this, we need to acknowledge our rich and significant history. Brancott Vineyard is where it all began for us, and it remains an important symbol of the need to think differently, to take risks, and to continue to learn and evolve.”
The new brand identity will appear on 2016 vintage wines as they are released.
