You asked. We answered.
Q: How do I apply for a position at
Landor?
A: Check out our open positions.
Q: How can I tell Landor that I am
flexible regarding location?
A: You could show up at one of our
offices with one of those old-timey suitcases with international
city stickers plastered all over it. Or, you could simply indicate
all the offices that interest you when you establish an online
profile. By the way, you can apply for more than one role in a
single office, or multiple roles across multiple offices.
Q: How do I know if you’ve received my
resume?
A: You’ll get one of those wonderful
automated emails telling you we have! However, if your
qualifications match our current staffing needs, our human
resources team will contact you to let you know that you’ve made
the bonus round. Otherwise, we’ll keep your information on file for
future opportunities.
Q: How do I know if a position is still
open?
A: If it’s still on our website, it
means we’re still looking for that one... special... person. Like
that Lionel Ritchie song: Hello, is it you we’re looking for?
Q: Will I be notified if I’m not a match
for a position?
A: Sure. We’ll probably call, invite
you to dinner, and do the whole “It’s not you, it’s me” thing.
Actually, due to the volume of applications, we contact only those
individuals whose qualifications match our current staffing
needs.
Q: May I submit my resume for a position
that is not posted?
A: Depends on what you have in mind.
Retail environment designer, yes. Belly dancer, no. There’s a
button on our careers page that allows you to upload a general
resume—that’s your best bet. But be aware that we generally post
the positions we need to fill, so your chances are better if you
fit one of those. If not, check back later—we post new career
opportunities regularly.
Q: I’m a designer. Can I arrange to have
someone look at my book?
A: You sure can. Attach a PDF of your
work or include a link to your online portfolio when you apply
online. For security and confidentiality reasons, please don’t drop
books off at our offices, toss them through our car windows, or
slip them under our bathroom stall walls. (Especially not the last
one. That’s just creepy.)
Q: There is no Landor office near where I
live. Are there opportunities to work remotely?
A: Possibly. Opportunities vary by
office. We will contact you if there’s a potential fit for a
position you’ve applied for. Then we can talk about flexible work
schedules.
Q: Will you sponsor my work permit if I am
not authorized to work in a particular country?
A: This is something that’s really not
up to just us. Immigration rules vary by country. In some instances
we will sponsor foreign nationals. But ultimately, it is not solely
Landor’s decision.
Q: Are there ever opportunities to
transfer between offices?
A: What? You haven’t even gotten the
job yet, and already you want to move? Wow. Well, our hurt feelings
aside, yes. Our mobility program includes cross-office
partnerships, short-term assignments, and transfers.
Q: Do you have an internship
program?
A: Yes, of course! We love interns.
There’s a huge list of menial things that our regular employees
simply refuse to do! (note from
Jason in verbal branding: let’s edit that last sentence out before
this QA goes live on the site. Thx.) Please visit our
internships
page for details.
Q: I work for a recruiting agency. How can
I help Landor with its staffing needs?
A: You can recruit us some fashion
consultants for our designers, for starters. Oh wait, you’re being
serious. OK, contact the HR team at your nearest Landor office for
guidance.
